Neue Reise, neue Abenteuer

Anton takes a skiing trip with his new friends from Berlin. They travel to Salzburg, Austria, where Anton is from originally . On the platform in Salzburg station he has a pleasant surprise. Or has he? Anton is not really sure. On the other hand he is very happy to see his older brother and his father again. His friend Heidi has a fall and is unable to ski anymore, but that does give them ample opportunity to talk...

This is the third book in the "Neue"-series. A series geared to increase your reading skills by gradually raising the level of German throughout the books.
To help you out the book contains a glossary German-English at the end.

Is this book suitable for you? You can read some sample pages by clicking on them on the left-hand side. If you can read these pages fairly easily this book is the right one for you.

Nicole de Boer "This time the story is set in Salzburg. The themes are the same as in the previous two books of the series: friendship, uncertainty, how to deal with unexpected situations. The language is simple and natural, which makes the book a pleasure to read."

Information for teachers

The language in 'neue Reise, neue Abenteuer' is simple and natural. Therefore this book is well suited  to learners who are on their way to level A2. Seperable verbs are underlined to facilitate understanding. The themes are consistent with every day life of a teenager, so this is a nice book to read or be read in class.

The text contains information about Salzburg and about some of the differences of Austrian German versus German German.

The book includes a questions section at the end with questions per chapter. There are comprehension questions about the text followed by questions related to one's own life and personal experiences.
