"This story is riddled with mysterious events that make you feel increasingly uncomfortable. Tension builds and for a long time it is unclear whether all will be well in the end. It contains some beautiful yet everyday descriptions of Amalia, her dog Simón, the village where she lives and of her work.
This book is written in nice, but fairly demanding Spanish, level A2 plus.
Students can read it well by themselves, but it is also suitable to be used in class. Topics for discussion could be ghosts and ghost stories, hidden treasures or the typical characteristics of small villages in remote areas.
Various activities can make reading El Entierro more enjoyable and the language easier to understand.
